The 17th version of FileMaker platform was launched.
It improves the users’ experience with the mobile applications. It is coming with tools to display notifications and to capture the sensor data from iPads and iPhones, like location, air pressure, accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, barometer, and battery level.
The Master-Detail layout decreases the development time to display the detail of an item selected in a portal, by eliminating the need to create self-join relationships and additional scripts.
Filemaker 17 allows attaching multiple files to an email message.
The FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Pro Advanced were consolidated in a single product. Only the FileMaker Pro Advanced is available.
The FileMaker Server Administration Console was improved, to easily monitor hosted application, connected clients and system statistics.
